Yogendra Ras is a classical gold-based Rasashastra Rasayana traditionally used to support nerve strength, healthy blood sugar balance, and recovery from Vata-origin neurological weakness.
Yogendra Ras is a classical Swarna Kalpana (gold-based) Rasashastra formulation described in the Bhaishajya Ratnavali (Vatarogadhikara), combining Swarna Bhasma and Rasasindoor with Bhasmas of iron, mica, and tin, prepared with Aloe vera juice.
It is traditionally valued as a Yogavahi (catalytic) Rasayana that enhances the action of accompanying medicines, and is indicated for neurological weakness, paralysis, and diabetes-related nerve complaints.
In Ayurveda, chronic nerve weakness, tremors, and diabetes-related complications are classically linked to deep-seated Vata imbalance combined with impaired tissue nourishment (Dhatu Kshaya).
Yogendra Ras is classically prepared by first forming Rasasindoor from purified mercury and sulphur, then triturating it with Swarna, Loha, and Abhraka Bhasma, and finally processing the mixture with Aloe vera juice, following the method described in the Bhaishajya Ratnavali.
Its Yogavahi property is traditionally understood to carry the action of co-administered herbs deeper into the tissues, while its Vata-pacifying and Rasayana qualities support nerve conduction, strength, and mental clarity.
The classical base of many Rasa Shastra formulations, traditionally described as Krimighna and Rasayana when properly processed and purified.
A traditional Rasashastra ingredient classically used for its Kapha-Ama clearing and lymphatic-supportive properties.
Classically included in formulations for glandular and metabolic disorders for its traditional Kapha-pacifying action.
Used in classical preparation as a Tridosha-balancing decoction base, traditionally regarded as Rasayana and digestive-supportive.
