Shirshuladivajra Ras is a classical Rasashastra formulation traditionally used to relieve migraine, tension headaches, and recurrent Shirahshoola (headache disorders).
Shirahshooladivajra Ras is a classical Rasashastra formulation described in the Bhaishajya Ratnavali (Shirorogadhikara), prepared from purified mercury and sulphur combined with Bhasmas of copper and iron, along with Triphala, Yashtimadhu, Pippali, and Dashamula.
It is traditionally indicated for Shirahshoola (headache), including migraine, tension-type, sinus-related, and vascular headaches arising from Vata-Pitta-Kapha imbalance.
In Ayurveda, chronic and recurrent headaches (Shirahshoola) are classically attributed to aggravated Vata and Kapha dosha obstructing the head's fine channels (Shiro Srotas), sometimes complicated by Pitta.
Shirahshooladivajra Ras is classically prepared by triturating purified Parada and Gandhaka into Kajjali, combining it with Tamra and Lauha Bhasma, and grinding the mixture with a Dashamula decoction and ghee, following the method described in the Bhaishajya Ratnavali.
Its combined Ushna and Vata-Kapha-pacifying properties are traditionally believed to help clear obstructed channels in the head, relieving pain while its Rasayana action supports overall neurological wellness.
The classical base of many Rasa Shastra formulations, traditionally described as Krimighna and Rasayana when properly processed and purified.
A traditional Rasashastra ingredient classically used for its Kapha-Ama clearing and lymphatic-supportive properties.
Classically included in formulations for glandular and metabolic disorders for its traditional Kapha-pacifying action.
Used in classical preparation as a Tridosha-balancing decoction base, traditionally regarded as Rasayana and digestive-supportive.
