Nasht Pushpantak Ras (also known as Nashta Pushpantak Ras) is a classical Rasa Shastra formulation traditionally indicated for gynaecological disorders, most notably Anartava (amenorrhea/absence of menstruation), and is also classically referenced in the context of male and female infertility.
It is prepared from a triturated blend of purified mercury, sulphur, and multiple metallic Bhasmas, further processed with a decoction of supportive herbs, and is traditionally used to help restore regular menstrual function.
In Ayurveda, Anartava (amenorrhea) is classically attributed to obstruction and imbalance of Apana Vata, the sub-dosha governing downward movement and menstrual flow.
Nasht Pushpantak Ras is classically prepared by triturating purified Parada (mercury) and Gandhaka (sulphur) with Rajata Bhasma (silver), Loha Bhasma (iron), Tamra Bhasma (copper), Abhraka Bhasma (mica), Vanga Bhasma (tin), and Tankana (purified borax) into a fine homogenous mixture.
This mineral base is further processed with a decoction of Yashtimadhu, Danti, Lavanga, Vamsalochana, and Rasna — herbs traditionally described as supportive of reproductive channel (Artavavaha Srotas) function — with the combined formulation classically intended to clear obstruction and help re-establish regular menstrual flow.
